    Lorsque D.C., ou Darn Cat, son fidèle matou, ramène un indice important permettant de résoudre un mystérieux enlèvement, pour Patti Randall, 16 ans, sa ville ordinaire bourdonne soudain d'activité criminelle ! Elle s'associe à un agent débutant du FBI pour tenter de résoudre ce crime déroutant. Les deux aspirants détectives suivent D.C. dans un monde plein de surprises.
