A superhuman soldier codenamed the Black Mask goes AWOL from the group known as the 701 Squad. Years later, living in Hong Kong undercover as a librarian, he teams up with a police detective to investigate the deaths of the city's drug dealers, which he thinks may be the doings of some of his old associate.
