Memories of Love Returned

On April 24th, 2002, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine's car broke down in Mbirizi, Uganda, leading him to a local photo studio where he met Kibaate Aloysius Ssalongo, a photographer active from the late 1950s until his death in 2006. This serendipitous meeting initiated a 22-year project in which Ntare documented Kibaate's life and photographic work, exploring its significant influence on his own life and the broader community captured in Kibaate's images.
