After achieving success with their TV show, Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey), the iconic headbangers from Aurora, Illinois, leave their parents' homes to navigate their next steps in life. Wayne's girlfriend, rising rock star Cassandra (Tia Carrere), gains traction under her new manager Bobby Cohn (Christopher Walker), though Garth suspects Bobby's intentions are more personal than professional. Meanwhile, a dream encounter with the late Jim Morrison (Michael A. Nickles) inspires Wayne to organize a huge rock festival, "Waynestock," headlined by Aerosmith. At the same time, Garth experiences a romantic encounter with the enigmatic Honey Hornee (Kim Basinger), unaware of her ulterior motives.
